Well it has been way too long, and we have stopped taking quite as many pictures. Cora is cooing and speaking up a storm. She finally broke the 10lbs mark, and is not quite sleeping through the night.
We made a trip to texas, Cora did very well, and she love the rivers. She seems entranced by water in general. I am attempting to get a good video with sound now that she is making noises all the time.

Cora is starting to get used to the bottle. I am still getting used to the whole thing. I think she thinks i am trying to drown her.

She also got a super cool new binkie from her aunt Les, it matches the hat from her cousin Brit (she doest fit into the hat yet though.. i will have to post the hat pic later).

Other than that Cora has just been hanging out, she did roll over yesterday. she was on tummy time and used her noggin to flip herself. She likes to look at everything around her. Here she is just sitting watching mommy and daddy get ready for the day.

The irony of this part of Cora’s life is that even though she sleeps approximately 15-20 hours a day, we cant seem to get enough of it. First, we always seem to be tired. Second we love to watch her sleep.

I have a theory that we are just adapting to a more restless sleep pattern, even though we have the ability to sleep when she does, we dint seem capable of the immediate state of zombie-sleep that she does. So hopefully we will get better, and more rested as time goes by.

Last weekend, my parents and family decided to throw cora a zero birthday party. I dont think she quite understood, but mommy liked the chocolate cake.

Later she got visits from some close friends, The Kilzer clan

After all this visiting, Cora needed a nap.

Seeing this daddy decided to join her.

Then, joining ther trend, Kana joined us.

As we are getting to know our little wonder i am amazed at the world through her eyes. Amazed and very bored. She cant do anything, but does enjoy looking.
She continually has a look of wonder on her face. (except when she looks at me) when i am in her field of view i get that “what the?” look as if she is asking are you serious? I’m related to, and have to deal with this guy the rest of my life? Sorry honey, its true. but it does build character
.
Aside from truly amazing explosive poo, i am most entertained by COra when she has the hiccups. She becomes confused, and lets out a sound that seems to be a cross between a squeak and a chirp. Its adorable.
Sorry no pics this time, but we will have a post soon with a poll.

Today i have the joy of watching my daughter sleep beside me while her mother takes a nap. I would like to use this moment to tell you of Cora’s first Valentine’s day.
It all began about 6:00 am when Cora became hungry. It is my job to make sure that she is awake and that her diaper is clean. I had just picked her up to bring her to the changing table, when she decided to make my first valentine with her quite memorable. She opened her little eyes, turned her head towards mine, and ever so gently, extended her arms as if to stretch. at the end of those dainty arm, are beautiful hands, and what did i see then? My gorgeous little girl was giving me the bird. I think she knew it too. Brat.
Well anyway, cora got to meet some new friends this week. Inlcuindg a dog and a friends little girl.

Cora and Caraline

Kana meets Cora
At first Kana did not know what to make of Cora, and was a bit skittish. but since then she has become very protective, and is always there to lick away the troubles when Cora cries. (it doesnt always seem to work though. ) One more quick pic, of Cora resting. I will have more later after her 0 b-day party.

- The Lamberton Family (Brand spankin new)
As many of you are aware, the Lamberton family recently experienced the addition of one little individual. Cora Rhiannon Lamberton was born on February 10, 2009 at 9:37 pm.
She was 19.5 inches long at birth, had more hair than her daddy, of a light brown coloration and currently has blue eyes.

Cora is taking a peek at the world
After two days at the hospital loving the attention from family, friends, doctors and nurses alike we brought our little miracle home.

At home we encountered a surprise. Uncle Jay and aunt Nikki had left some advice and one particularly demonic clown face on balloons throughout the house.

The advice follows:
When in doubt, blame the dog
Uncle Jay is always right
Yes, the stove is hot… trust me
If your gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough – DLL
Careful on the stairs
Don’t kiss the dog after you have a sucker
It’s always nap time
The baby is not a chew toy
The puppy is not a chew toy
Always raise your arms on the roller coaster
Ask daddy “why?” no matter what he says
Sweet potatoes look different on the other end. Beware.
Every birthday, ask for a pony.
Smile all the time: it makes mom and dad wonder what you have been up to.
Daddy is a chew toy
Always love your Mommy
Yes, your mommy is prettier than their mommy
Always wrestle with Daddy
